Sorry it's been quite some time since I last posted. Things have been pretty busy for me lately! Training with Saxon has been going so well, I couldn't be more proud of him. He passed the American Temperament Test a few weeks ago, which was very exciting!
Saxon and I visited home last weekend and Saxon got the chance to play with one of his favorite people in the world, my brother.

We also had quite a challenge last week when I made a trip to New York City with my mom to visit the American Museum of Natural History. When we first walked into the museum we had to walk through a room with about 200 screeching children on field trips, all squealing "DOGGY!!" Saxon astonished me by keeping focussed and ignoring all of the fussing, which I know was hard for him because he ADORES children! I was beyond proud of him!! He has really come so far! Later on, while looking at dinosaur fossils, we passed a group of about ten or twelve 5-year-old girls with two chaperones. I heard one of the girls ask her friend, "Is that a poodle?" Her friend replied, quite matter-of-factly, "No, all poodles are girls and that dog's a boy." It took all I had to keep from laughing!
All in all the museum was great! We didn't run into a single access issue, the staff seems very well informed on the ADA and local State laws (New York State grants SDiTs public access rights). Here are a couple of pictures of Saxon and I with some fossils!

You may have noticed Saxon's snazzy new vest in the above pictures! It was a gift from my mother for my birthday a month ago! Here's a better picture of him wearing it, doesn't it look nice on him?

Any way, I have a few exciting things coming up! I wrote an article for the June issue of a National Staffordshire Bull Terrier magazine, which I am super excited about (I'll post the link here when it comes out!) and I will soon be interviewed for a blog article about the program I am working with, Possibility Dogs Inc. All in all, things are going well and I am looking forward to what lies ahead, which is a rarity for me. I hope things keep looking up!
Thats all for now, thanks for reading!
